The People Behind the Pieces

Urban Stitch Apparel began with a frustration most parents know too well: clothes that look lovely on day one and fall apart by week three. Our founder was forever replacing torn knees, faded prints and collars that had stretched out of shape, and decided there had to be a better way to dress a growing child without emptying the wallet. We started small, designing a handful of pieces around the problems we lived with daily. We chose breathable cottons suited to the Malaysian climate, reinforced the spots where kids put clothes under the most strain, and tested everything on our own children before anything went on sale. If it didn’t survive our household, it had no business in yours. Today we’re still a tight-knit team working out of Johor Bahru, and we like it that way. It means we read every message, hear every bit of feedback, and turn the good ideas into actual products. More than a few of our best-loved designs started as a suggestion from a parent who wanted something we hadn’t thought of yet. What hasn’t changed is the standard we set at the start: clothes sturdy enough to be handed down, soft enough for sensitive skin, and priced for everyday families. We want your kids to wear our pieces hard, get them filthy, and grow out of them happy — and we want you to come back for the next size up knowing exactly what you’re getting.
