Soft, tough, and made to move — everyday wear for kids who never sit still, and the parents who do the laundry.

Made for the Messy Bits

Urban Stitch Apparel started in a Johor Bahru flat with a sewing machine, a toddler who refused to stay clean, and one stubborn question: why is good children’s clothing either flimsy or ridiculously expensive? Our founder spent more on replacing torn knees and shrunken collars than she ever wanted to admit, and figured plenty of other parents were stuck in the same loop.

So we went the slow route. We picked fabrics we’d actually want against our own kids’ skin — breathable cottons that handle a humid Malaysian afternoon, knits with just enough stretch for monkey bars, seams double-stitched where small bodies put them to the test. Every piece gets washed, worn and tugged before it earns a spot in the collection. If it pills after three rounds in the machine, it doesn’t make the cut.

We also keep it simple to dress and undress, because mornings are chaos enough. Easy poppers, tag-free necklines that don’t itch, colours that hide a juice spill better than white ever could. The details are quiet, but parents notice them by the second wear.

Why Parents Stick With Us

We sweat the details so your mornings are easier and your clothes last longer.

Tough Where It Counts

Double-stitched at every stress point, because crawling and climbing are full-contact sports.

Soft on Sensitive Skin

Gentle fabrics and printed labels mean no scratchy tags and no morning meltdowns.

Grows With Them

Clever details stretch the wear-time so you're not back shopping every growth spurt.

Parents Behind the Stitches

A small Johor Bahru team that tests every piece on real children before it ever reaches your cart.

Straight From the School Gate

My son lives in his Urban Stitch tees and they’ve survived a full year of mud, mango stains and the washing machine. Still looking good.

Bought a set for my niece’s birthday and the wrapping was gorgeous. The fabric is so soft my sister asked where I got it.

With three kids the clothes get handed down, and these actually make it to the youngest in one piece. That’s value to me.
